Subject: Where to start?
Hi

I'm currently starting with a new project, and Pinax looks like a
great framework to build it on.

I'm just a bit confused/concerned about its future, as I couldn't find
a roadmap for future development.

I've also read about a new "fresh-start" version of Pinax that is
currently being developed.

Would it be better to start development using this new version, or
should I start by using the current stable version? Will this version
still be maintained going forward, or will I have to redevelop large
parts of my application when 0.9 is released?

Furthermore, what is the plans for Django 1.3 support?

Thanks for a great project, and I look forward to helping out where I
can.

Regards
Matthys

You can find our roadmap here https://github.com/pinax/pinax/blob/master/ROADMAP

I would recommend not using the stable version. IMO our 0.9 development releases are more stable and are being maintained. I haven't touched 0.7 in a very long time. Yes, 0.9 will continue to be maintained in the future. We are still technically maintaining 0.7, but very slowly.

0.9 has supported 1.3 for quite some time. The stable release does not and most likely won't. As a matter of fact the fresh-start branch defaults to 1.3.
