Pinax has been very active. This list is not a good representation of Pinax development activity. Unfortunately, this list isn't very active (say compared to django-users mailing list). If you are looking for help also try the IRC channel on Freenode (#pinax).
We have a great ecosystem app we developed for pinaxproject.com which helps show activity across the ecosystem. This should help prove Pinax is very active: http://pinaxproject.com/ecosystem/commits/ :-)

That looks awesome - could it be linked to from the main page?
Also, as Brian's link points out, the pinax/pinax GitHub repo isn't necessarily the best reference for Pinax activity, since a lot of development is going on with the apps.

I have the same queries too. I downloaded 0.7 but apparently it seems
like the bookmarks app does not work with 1.2.4 Django. Anyone have
the same problems.?
