how do I even get started or upload a pic?

Twice I've been to this site and can't find an upload picture button
or get started button anywhere. I see lots of instructions and
examples, but nowhere can I find how you actually use the thing.

[Picture to People - Computer Graphics]

It's strange. Picture to People has many thousands of users (maybe
millions) and everybody can use it.

Every Picture to People online tool has an orange button named
"Calculate Effect" at the bottom of the page (just before the footer).
It's used to trigger the effect calculation.

Photo effects also have an upload button just above the "Calculate
Effect" button.

It's just simple like that. Any computer with a modern browser
correctly installed is able to run Picture to People software.

Some more tips:
   - You must configure your browser to allow javascript.
   - You cannot use security browser plugins that block Picture to
People operation.
   - Picture to People is not approved to be used in "simplified
browsers", i. e. browsers for pads or phones.
