[PIC] Microchip MPLAB C compiler versions

Okay, I get it that evaluation version is the version being sold, but it
would loose selective optimisations after 60 days. I see a new link "Special
free versions for academic use are available here. " (unwieldy url) which
links to another page offering the academic version to download.

Anyone know what are the differences between the two? It is not apparent. I
don't want to download the files, and then decipher the release notes for
each. For my non-commercial use, I think that I can continue to use the
evaluation version past 60 days. I want to tinker around with the speech
libraries, so the less crippled the better.

The academic version is almost the same as the evaluation,
except that you do not have the 60 days evaluation period.
