Embedded C Programming course

I follow the procedures to the letter in Chapter 7 “Embedded C
Programming” and on page 81. Program will not recognize the file on
the left side and of course, can’t transfer anything to the right.

Is this my problem or is there a bug some place? Is there a
solution?

Computer is a Toshiba lap top with Visa operating system.

Suggestions please.
