Dear Colleagues
I wanted to get an Idea about the progress/situation on the JavaScript version of the Piccolo2D framework, at
Processing's Java library was ported to Processing.js so that it works straight with Java code, is this the same sort of situation with Piccolo2d.js?
Is most of the same functionality included into the js version as the other versions?
I know there are some basic examples included for the js version.  It could be useful for Device independent solutions (Android etc), to deploy on the web etc.
Thanks for the help
Regards

Hello Mikail,

Piccolo2d.js is nothing like Processing.js, it is just a javascript implementation of the basic Piccolo2d concepts, and unfortunately has not progressed much beyond a proof-of-concept phase.

If you are interested, please run with it!

Dear Michael
Thanks for the reply.
I have been researching some other Javascript libraries, to see if I could piggyback on something more advanced and perhaps adapt it to replicate something like Piccolo2D for my functionality.
So I was looking at some SVG libraries (which I assume come the closest to describing the Zoom features of Piccolo)
This link: http://www.farinspace.com/top-svg-javascript-libraries-worth-looking-at/ mentioned quite a few readily available SVG libraries.

I wanted to get your ideas and thoughts about what you think about these libraries, i.e. where you feel piccolo might have an advantage etc. or even what you might like about them.

Of course there is three.js which has some pretty cool 3D functionality, leaning towards that, it also seems to replicate the scenegraph/3d-type environment so perhaps youhave some views on that as well.
I thought you might be quite aware of the drawing software/library landscape and might have some interesting advice?
Thanks again.
Regards
