Hi Brooklyn red,

Look in Tools > Options > General.
There is an "Automatic Updates" menu. The default is to automatically
update. You would need to change that "Don't update" or "Ask first" to
avoid going from 2.7 to 3.0.

Other than something going horribly awry with importing pictures
Picasa doesn't have the ability to lose all your photos. It might not

Under View, do you have "small pictures" checked?

That's weird if the albums (blue icons) are just disappearing like
that. Hopefully, they're checking into it.

Same thing happened to me. Picasa 3 worked fine for a couple of days
then decided to start from scratch and scan all folders (not just the
ones I had previously set in Folder Management) and deleted all my
Albums. Lots of work has gone down the drain. I won't be doing that
again any time soon.

Sometimes it helps to restart your computer after downloading new
programs.

I'm not sure why or if Picasa3 would affect Adobe Photoshop.

But you can see if Picasa3 needs to be updated by clicking Help >
Check for Updates online.

Small [134x170] png images not showing

I've set up a folder for Picasa to hold my images in that
is set to automatically scan & update. Currently there
are four .png images present, two large and two small
ones roughly the size stated. Interestingly enough the
bigger ones show up in the Picasa 3 window, while
the other small ones are nowhere to be found. Also

I sure understand your frustration - I swear that Picasa disappeared
from my computer after the download to #3. Have you actually looked in
Picasa 3 - my experience was that it was hard to find on my program
file - I went to my computer, then C drive, then programs, and opened

I had the same problem today - and couldn't find it even find any
picasa files when I did a search - but it suddenly appeared about 2
hrs later. It was hard to find on the program file - if you are having
that problem, go into My computer, then your C drive, then programs
and open Google - hopefully, you will find it there and can create a

Wierdest thing - Picasa 3 suddenly appeared on my computer - with my
old files. I swear, I did a search for any Picasa files 2 hours ago
and didn't find anything (I have an XP system)

Are you using an updated version of Picasa3? Click Help > Check for
Updates online.
