Hey PIBV,

We have a couple of announcements for the weekend.

First, join PIBV-exec at the Sleep Out Malaria event this Saturday!

This Saturday April 24, 2010 the United Nations Foundation’s ‘Nothing but
Nets’ initiative will be hosting a Sleep Out to End Malaria on College Green
at UPENN.  The goal of the Sleep Out is to raise awareness about malaria and
to motivate world leaders to eliminate malaria by 2015.

Malaria was eliminated in the West over fifty years ago!  However, it
continues to affect almost 250 million people a year in the rest of the
world, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Malaria is preventable and can
be eliminated by 2015.

The first step you can take to help end malaria by 2015 is to come to
College Green at any time between 6PM-7PM on Saturday April 24 to sign the
petition to end malaria.

•      Join the facebook event ‘Sleep Out to End Malaria :: Philadelphia’
and invite your friends to the event.
