Physiosense

The Physiosense project is an attempt at building an open source framework/platform for DIY human biology and physiology sensors. There are many excellent sensor options on the market, but no common platform for collecting the data those devices report.

Physiosense will work towards these (and other) common goals:
  1. An open source data storage format, flexible enough to track data for many types of sensors, as well as annotation
  2. A hardware platform (or series of platforms) based on open source tools to collect and store data
  3. A communications framework to efficiently transmit our human body data to data consumption systems such as smart-phones and data aggregation sites
  4. Hacker friendly interfaces for commercial products as well as our own DIY sensors, such that all devices may be adapted to the hardware platform over a common interface
