Getting this error, around when I'm having a serious failure of my app server, with resources locked up where I can't even SSH in. I'm not sure if the below error is a result of the core problem or part of it.

What would cause this error?

(i've removed some data, the stuff in <here>)

2012/02/26 17:50:43 [error] 19183#0: *1946476 connect() to unix:/passenger_helper_server failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) while connecting to upstream, client: <ip address>, server:<domain name>, request: "GET <requested resoruce> HTTP/1.1", upstream: "passenger:unix:/passenger_helper_server:", host: "<domain name>", referrer: "<URL>"

Thanks for any ideas!
John

Hi John,

I'm using Passenger Enterprise and getting the exact same error when running some mild load tests.

Have you ever figured out the solution?

Thanks!

A "resource temporarily unavailable" error on the socket means that
the kernel socket queue is full, which means that the
PassengerHelperAgent process cannot handle the load. We're interested
in investigating this issue further. What kind load tests are you
running on the server?
