Installing and Running phraymd

These instructions assume a recent Ubuntu Linux system (tested on 8.04 and later) and an internet connection

Open a terminal

To install the required dependencies type:

  sudo apt-get install bzr python-pyinotify python-pyexiv2 python-gtk2 python-gnome2 python-gnome2-desktop python-gnome2-extras dcraw python-osmgpsmap python-gdata python-imaging

(bzr is to get the code, dcraw is only needed if you have raw photos, python-osmgpsmap is only needed for geotagging and python-gdata is only needed for uploading to Picasa Web Albums)

To be able to upload to Flickr, see these instructions

To get the code type:

To run:

  cd <phraymd-source-dir>

  ./bin/phraymd

Any time you want to update to the latest version of the source, open a terminal:

  cd <phraymd-source-dir>

  bzr pull

hackers can browse the source repository and commit log here: http://code.launchpad.net/phraymd/trunk
