I want to learn PHP. I've read several books and done all the "sample"
scripts, but now I need some projects to build from scratch.
I need a tutor who can feed me simple projects and then grade me on how I
do and suggest improvements.
As payment you can have some free labor when you get me up to speed, or I
can pay you, whichever you prefer.
I'm anxious to get up to speed as quickly as possible, as I have a friend
who will hire me for a good salary as soon as I can demonstrate my
competence.

why don't you try #phphelp on undernet (IRC).
Don't get to memememe about shit either. Just simply a) try to do things
mostly on your own b) pastebin your code when it fails
(http://pastebin.com) and c) respect the fact that these are
professionals who are busy and may not be able to jump at the answer.
