The code from Andrew is now integrated into the class, you just need
to check out the latest version.

An example from Andrew for implementation is:

USAGE:

...
$styles = "[ { stylers: [ { visibility: "on" }, { hue:
"#00ff4d" }  ] } ]";

$MAP_OBJECT->setMapStyles($styles);
...

I'm assuming you'll still need to know the  basics of how styled maps
work:
