Preciso acessar uma função de um outro servidor.
Por exemplo tenho o www.siteum.com.br que utiliza uma função PHP
www.site.com.br
Qual seria a melhor maneira de fazer isso?  =)

Webservices  com SOAP pode ser uma alternativa.

o correto para tal procedimento é utilizando RPC. porém, não há nada mais
simples e distribuído do que usar uma lib HTTP (cURL) e através de uma URI
enviar um resultado no formato JSON ou até em ATOM. o que vai variar é se
você precisa do POST ou do GET para tal requisição, depende muito do que se
quer fazer.

Seria melhor eu ter especificado mais esse tópico...
A ideia é o desenvolver uma especie de SaaS, onde do site.com.br fosse
possivel administrar os sites, siteum.com.br, sitedois.com.br, sendo
criação de paginas, alteração de conteudo, criação de galerias, etc...
Então não sei se essa seria a melhor solução. Nunca fiz algo parecido.
Pensei em desenvolver todo o script no site.com.br, e só carregar ele no
siteum.com.br...

Cara, se nao me engano o Drupal gerencia multi-sites e o WordPress vem com
um módulo padrão pra isso tbm.

Basicamente, a ideia que tenho é a seguinte: o seu site.com.br vai gerir
sim o siteum.com.br e sitedois.com.br, basicamente você vai gerenciar esses
dominios(virtualhosts)...

A sua ferramenta gerenciadora de sites, vai criar os virtualhosts e apontar
pro mesmo local, e o seu sistema vai ver qual foi o endereço solicitado e
trabalhar em cima dos endereços solicitados(uma referencia no banco)...
Os layouts podem ficar no banco, ou em arquivos estáticos, para isso, deves
definir um arquitetura para que cada dominio tenha sua estrutura para esses
arquivos estaticos...
