Hola,

Yo hice un par de trabajos con la API de Facebook. De SAP no se nada.
Lo primero que tenes que hacer es autenticar tu identidad con facebook, lo
podes hacer por SMS o con una tarjeta de crédito.

Hay dos tipos fundamentales de authenicación:

1) javascript (todo sucede en el browser)
2) Oauth (tu server puede hacer peticiones a facebook)

Ambas pensadas para WEB.
No se que es lo que queres hacer, en https://developers.facebook.com/ tenés
lo fundamental para empezar.
Una de las cosas que no me gusta de la API de Facebook es que cambia
seguido, y muchas veces son cambios importantes.
Otro tema es que Facebook no es muy transparente con los datos que obtiene
de tus usuarios (ojo con la privacidad).
