Seems like you have compiled libemu with its own Python bindings
(--enable-python-bindings). Please try reinstalling libemu without
enabling this feature and then reinstall PhoneyC modules.
Let me know if everything works fine after that.

Hi!

I've been nearly all day fighting with this problem, searching
everywhere for similar problems, repeating the steps... but no luck
for me.

I've followed all instructions, and in both modes (Option 1 & option
2). Heapspray attacks are correctly detected and shellcodes are
detected but can't be executed.

Never experienced such error. Can you please try installing the modules the
classical way (cd modules && make && make install) and report what happens?

Just curious if anyone else has seen this (I can't figure out what I'm

Thank you for you help.Now i can use phoneyc and testing all examples i
have.do you know taduesz slupski from poland.he is working for mks and i am
also working for mks and i am from nepal.we are using your phoneyc is as
client honeypot.if i get any errors testing examples i have then i will let

the libemu python bindings are not installed. look under
phoneyc/modules/libemu for the code and make sure it installs correctly.

I am prabhat from nepal and working for mksvir poland.i successfully
installed phoneyc in one machine after solving libemu problem.now that
machine is not working due to some hardware problem and i am trying to
install phoneyc in new machine and again i am having problem with libemu.

IIRC the issue is that the CFLAGS in the Makefile are set to include
"-Werror" meaning 'treat warnings as errors". remove that and it
should compile fine. this is a harmless error for the most part.

i am installing libemu-0.1.0 in ubuntu 10.10 and i am getting follwing
errors when i try to install libemu

emu.c : in function 'emu_strerror_set':
emu.c : 116 : error : ignoring return value of 'vasprintif', declared
with attribute

the error is telling you you need to build the module honeyjs, which
is under modules. it has some hairy dependencies, we know, including
spidermonkey.
