Hi All,
I'm writing to announce the launch of CombatDev.com knowledge
exchange for PhoneGap. CombatDev is a question and answer style site
based on the same technology that runs
stackoverflow.com and is
targeted at PhoneGap, web-apps, and other cross platform
technologies. This is a good place to ask, and answer, questions
about PhoneGap, especially technical questions that have specific
answers. I hope that it will act as a good supplement to the google
group.
The site is for PhoneGap, web-apps, and other cross-platform
technologies.
It would be great, as it is getting started, if you spent a little
time to support the site with a few tidbits of wisdom. Much
appreciated, since I want to get to a certain critical mass to cover
pending hosting fees.
I started the site because I wanted a more permanent place for my own
web app questions, and was frustrated with the forum and discussion
group format as being too discussion-focused, and less answer-focused
than I thought was optimal, and stack overflow's lack of focus on web-
apps. It is Google & Bing friendly, so any questions and answers
should be inherently discoverable.
I've added a few tricks, such as a built-in translator and easy
youtube.com embedding and
slideshare.net embedding.
For feedback, just post it to the site with a tag of 'meta'.
Enjoy!
JJ
