Any support planned for W3C Widgets?

Hi folks

I've just found out about Phone Gap. Really nice work, and much
needed!

Do you have any thoughts on implementing support for W3C's widget
packaging specs? Seems some very common goals here. W3C widgets are
essentially a zip file + manifest, then normal HTML/js/CSS etc plus
there's a group working out some specific APIs.

I was thinking that PhoneGap could probably take these and compile
them into Android, iPhone etc widgets fairly easily, or am I missing

We are working with the w3c device API WG:

We try to conform to the w3c APIs whenever possible, and the re-
factoring of our code to do so (in some parts) are in the pipeline.
