Dear All,

We are quite excited to announce the release of Paperplay for iPad on
the Appstore.

The acceptance process has take quite a long time (1,5 months) due to
an icon issue that cause lot of back and forth with Apple review team:
if using XCode, I recommand you to properly remove the phonegap
default icons from XCode, not from the finder.

Paperplay is our very first app: you can draw or write a message like
any sketch app. The MAGIC HAPPENS when you share it with your friends:
it becomes a playing message so they discover it with fun.

Please visit the website (gallery section) to understand more:
www.paperplayapp.com

Have a great day!

Philippe

Can you tell us what technology you are using to write on the screen? When I've tried it, the drawing was slow, didn't follow the finger very well, or the previous line disappeared when you touched elsewhere to start another line. Even if I were to solve those problems, I could not figure out how to change the monoline to a line that simulated a broad-edge calligraphy pen.

Congrats on your new app in the App Store!

Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your message and for visiting us!

We mainly use HTML+ Canvas + Javascript tech.
A good start is this website: http://www.williammalone.com/articles/create-html5-canvas-javascript-drawing-app/
Just replace the mouse event with touch event. We found it pretty
precise as you can see in this example: http://paperplayapp.com/sketches/JFdOTXy97T

For paperplay draw on the website, the drawing is more or less slow
depending on the device your using to read it.
On a computer it is quite good on device like tablet or iphone it can
be a bit slow.

Cheers,

Philippe

Philippe, as you're canvas pro, can you help me with the following.

I have a js that draws a line from (x,y) to (x1,y1). It's being drawn  ok on Android, but not on iPhone. I've tried setting element.style.display='block' to an element enclosing canvas, but  to no avail. What should I do?
