Web app on regular desktops?

If I develop a web app in phonegap, can the same web app be made to
run in regular desktops/laptops inside a browser?

With forethought & good design you can repurpose your html/css/js and
wrap it up in Adobe Air without too much bother.

This assumes you don't use mobile device features that aren't
available on the desk/laptop.

Well a desktop PhoneGap app wouldn't have access to camera, contacts,
file, media, etc. so I'm thinking PhoneGap would be of limited use to
you in this case.

A web app by definition uses HTML web site code, so definitely it
should work in modern browsers.

phonegap is for convert a webapp into a phone native app, so a
phonegap app wouldn't work on a desktop.
but the webapp should. (maybe not in all browsers)
