thanks benj!

rice tea na naman? nde ko talaga alam un. hehe. check ko n lng sa
convenience stores ulit or patulong ako kay martin baka alam nya

Btw, the event schedule is really compressed so I'll just try to find
time for pasalubong. Baka local Jeonju delicacy na lng, or some Go
stuff. I'll try to record my games (again, depending on the schedule)
and hopefully I can post them here.

FYI, Mr. Izeki is not feeling very well, so he won't be able to go to
the KPMC. Martin should still be going as planned and he'll be
travelling from Singapore to Korea. Also, given my flight schedule
change, I'll be arriving late and will be missing the event of the
first day so I won't be able to report on that.

Quick update (just got back home):

Didn't have internet connection in the hotel.

Top 5:
1 Korea
2 China
3 Hong Kong
4 Japan
5 USA

I won only 2 of my 7 games, and was ranked 60 of 68 which is quite
bad. Playing 7 games in 2 days is really tough (not just for me but
for all the players).

More updates tomorrow...

On the 1st day of the tournament, Martin played an 8-stone handicap
game against a 9-dan playing simul against several amateur players. He
won :)

I also got to play on the sight-seeing day, 8-stone handi against a 6-
dan pro and won. I recorded my game and I'll be posting it on my Go
blog later.

Got a group picture with Lee Changho in it. Didn't get Lee Changho's
autograph, I was watching out for that in the side events, but I might
have missed it.

I'll be posting the pictures maybe later this week. It's not a lot
compared to my visit to Japan.

Pasalubong:
I was able to buy a blank fan for Che and Celeste's brown rice and
green tea. Priority coz I missed to buy these when they requested for
this last time :) For the others, metal button pins and some postcards
until supplies last. I bought some chocolates that were crushed during
the trip. Oh well.

Go Stuff:
We got some Go books from KABA and 2 of those (+ 2 of Martin's books)
we'll be giving away as prizes in some future tournament. Martin also
bought 2 more really nice books as prizes, so that's a total of 6
books. I also bought a nice Go board that I also plan to donate as a
prize.

More updates later...

Just remembered... as Martin and I awaited the airport bus 2 days ago,
the official from Singapore invited Martin to attend an upcoming open
Go tournament in Singapore scheduled for late November. The player
from SG then suggested that Martin also participate in another Go
tournament schedule in 1 or 2 weeks. Based on the tournament page of
the SG website (http://www.weiqi.org.sg/Tournament.aspx), the
tournament this late November is the The 10th Whampoa National Weiqi
Championship 2009.

So it seems Martin will be joining a lot of Go tournaments in
Singapore. Good luck!

If your a friend in Facebook, I also uploaded the photos in an album
there.

A lot of the photos were taken by Martin while I was playing my games.
Thanks!
