Details about the 2 events:
PGA @ OGM/Balasa!
On Nov. 14, Saturday, around 1pm to 8pm, Cyberzone GF (unless a
possible last-minute change of venue by SM administration to the 3rd
floor near the food court) at SM Marikina, PGA will be attending OGM's
monthly event. You can learn more about Go from the PGA members,
register as an official member of PGA for free, or get tickets to the
upcoming AME no JIDAI event (see below), etc. You can also play other
board games offered by OGM or CCGs offered by Balasa!
PGA @ AME no JIDAI
On Nov. 28, Saturday, 1pm to 10pm, A. Venue Hall, Makati City, the
University of the Philippines Anime and Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME)
will be hosting the AME no JIDAI anime fair. PGA is participating as a
tie-up org and will be helping with organizing the event (we have
provided volunteers) and also having a PGA Go puzzles/games booth
where people can win prizes (some Go equipment, some other stuff as
well) by learning about Go or solving Go problems. You can also hang
out to play Go, visit other booths in AME, or watch cosplayers roam
the venue.

Erick just got the 40 tickets for Ame No Jidai. We split it 20-20. I'm
gonna try to sell as much as I can to my friends. If you can afford to
buy the ticket, please do. If not, then just tell us, there are some
of us who are willing to sponsor some tickets.

BTW, Benj mentioned he'll pay for the tickets of 2 other members. I'm
also paying for 2. And talked to Celeste, she's also paying for 2.
Then, I also mentioned before that we need 2 volunteers as substitute
for me and Benj in the booth, and their tickets will be taken care of
as well.
So that's 8 tickets up for grabs.

Yes, you can buy tickets from me, I still have several left. I think
Celeste has 1 left (not sure), and I think Erick has several tickets,
so you can buy from any of us. I live near Ateneo so you can meet with
me today (eg at McDo), or you can go to Ame no Jidai tomorrow, and
I'll try to meet you at the entrance. I can email you my mobile # if
you want, or you can get it from Dardsie.
Btw (to anyone interested), I'm meeting Celeste and Erick tomorrow
here at my place before going to the event. Anyone can join us.
Although we're leaving early (around 9am) coz we need to be there at
10am to help setup the place before the actual event at 1pm.

Thanks to everyone who participated! We were able to give away all of
our prizes (save 1 pocari sweat), and I remember some even turned down
the prizes coz they just wanted to solve problems. Even during the
cosplay event, most people were watching the stage, and yet some
people were still hanging out in our booth to solve problems. So
overall I think we had a great reception, but the real test for
success is how many of those will actually join in future events or
our mailing list or facebook group.
Also glad that a lot of people were able to fill up the membership
form. Hopefully, we'll be able to proceed with the election of
officers this December, then SEC registration on January.

I was there! your booth was so crowded i wasn't able to solve another
puzzle haha..
yung kaibigan ko nanalo pa nang 9x9 na board! aw how lucky >_<" even
though it's her first time playing GO.
lagi niyang dala yung board nya sa school eh, She introduced GO to our
friends. Kaya every breaktime naglalaro kami-kaming magkakaibigan
sana next year or sa mga next event may booth ulit kayo ^_^

Kung marami interested sa school nyo, maybe some of us can visit your
school early next year :)

When's your foundation week? A lot of us have work on the weekdays, so
that might be difficult. But your group could setup a booth, then we
can support, maybe some of us can visit your booth. We can lend you Go
equipment, give you some rulebooks, flyers, etc. Let's talk about this
on Saturday if you're going to SM Marikina for the OGM.
