A godly radio Bible teacher said that during the hymn and praise part of Christian services, many people are lying and singing falsehoods in all sincerity and earnestness, delighting the Devil and his demons. The people sing "All to Jesus I surrender, I surrender all" and then minutes later walk out of the church and take "all" back and do whatever they want to do.
The people sing "Have Thine own Way, Lord, have Thine own Way. Thou art the Potter. I am the clay. Mold me and make me whatever you will" and then walk out of church having their own way, doing whatever they want with the clay that they are. They have been singing falsehoods, that which is not true, whether or not there was a conscious intent to deceive or be deceitful. Truth is Truth and falsehoods are false. Truth, Jesus, isn't false and falsehoods aren't Truth, Jesus.
We are under God's command to be filled with the Spirit, which is manifested in the following manner:
Eph 5:15 Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise— 16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil. 17 So don't be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18 And . . . be filled with the Spirit:19Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord, 20At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. 21 submitting to one another in the fear of Christ. Surely the Word is 'speak the Truth to each other in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise and making truthful melody with all your heart to Him who is the Truth. I believe, according to all the Scriptures below that it is impossible to be "filled with the Spirit" and at the same time speak falsehoods to each other, falsely sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, falsely offering praise, making a false melody to the Lord. So what does it mean to sing or say something false, to utter a falsehood, to say or sing something that is not true, that is not the Truth, that is not true of you?
Colossians 3:8
But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and SHAMEFUL UTTERANCES from your lips!
Revelation 14:5
No LIE<1388> was found to be upon their lips, for they are blameless (spotless, untainted, without blemish) before the throne of God.

This is what is being taught in America's public schools, which prepares today's students to be rapists, liars, cheaters, frauds, wife and child abusers, terrorists, traitors and killers of people who they believe threaten their safety.
As a public school teacher after the 1960s I was not allowed to teach right and wrong, ethics, morals and public virtue. I was not allowed to mention and Christian or Biblical teaching on these issues. Both in grades K-12 and in my adult education classes I was forbidden to teach what our legislators have decreed is right and wrong. I was not allowed to teach the Calif. penal code of the Federal penal code, i.e. what actions are crimes and their prescribed punishment. I knew of no teachers who were allowed to teach our society's laws and punishments.
What is being taught now under the control and direction of the National Education Association and the ACLU?
1. All values are personal and private.
2. Truth is created by each individual. There is no absolute Truth.
3. What is true for you may not be true for others
4. You must determine your own values, ethics and truth.
5. You should do what is right to you, right in your own eyes.
6. Lying, stealing and unrestrained sex is right or wrong, depending on what you decide..
7. This is what is being taught in our public schools. The most common lesson to teach this is the Lifeboat Lesson, where there are ten people in a lifeboat built to carry six. Because there are four more people in the boat than recommended, the boat is taking on water and could sink. The student is told to decide which four people in the boat should be thrown overboard to die so that the remaining six can live. Some teachers take the application so far as to teach that society is our lifeboat, and there are people in society's lifeboat that are causing it to sink, causing the majority to be seriously endangered. The lesson is concluded by causing the students to think which people in the society should be removed and eliminated to save the majority.
According to this the Colombine killers and the Virginia Tech killer did what was right, and should be commended because they did what they thought was good, right and virtuous.

3. That which was true for them was not true to their victims.
4. They determined their own values, ethics and truth.
5. They did what was right to them, that which was right in their own eyes.
6. They decided that killing others indiscriminately was right.
According to this reasoning Hitler was right in having 15 million people killed, Russia's Stalin was right in having 20 million killed, and China's Mao TseTsung
was right in causing the death of 50 million people. They did what they thought was good, right and virtuous.

For me and my house, Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life. No one comes to Heaven and the Father without Jesus.

What's the future of those who reject the Truth of Christ?

TRUTH AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN THE LIFE OF THE BELIEVER
What About Fiction, Myths, Fables and theBeliever?
What is truth? The American Heritage Dictionary tell us that the truth is conformity to fact or actuality; that which is proven to be or accepted as true; fidelity to an original or a standard; reality and actuality.
Please consider what Amy Carmichael of Dohnavur learned about the Truth.
"That light, like the head-lights of a car,
threw a steady beam far down the road, and showed
what lay ahead with an unescapable distinctness.
Hardness lay ahead. The child in the family,
whether Hindu or Christian, has natural shelters
provided. No love of ours [for the children in our
care] could make up for these. So we were forced
to be more than ordinarily careful about the
foundations of character. And we wanted those
foundations to be laid in truth. One day, about
that time, a guest who afterwards became a beloved
fellow-worker, gathered the children together and
told them a fairy story, and then we discovered
(I had hardly realised it before [that time])

begun with the far more magical true fairy stories

"Their Redeemer would not waste the children

had the sovereign quality of truth, somehow the
way would open. So we tried to bring them up
to be truthful and faithful, ready for any sort
of hard work, not slackers. And though, when

you going to do with them?' with a clear-cut
plan, and must have appeared unpractical and
foolish, we were not cast down. 'You know,
Lord; You have not shown us yet, but You
know,' we used to say to Him, and found it
comforting. 'Only teach us how to train them in
honesty and thoroughness, in detachment from the
spirit of the world and in a pure indifference

"Looking back, I think of our apparent
ingratitude to the friends who were so good as to
try to help us [by sending us teacher applicants],
as quite the most painful part of the matter: we
seemed to be so deplorably fastidious that we
could only wonder they went on being friends with
us, as indeed they did. But it was as though
something in the place acted as touchstone and
declared what was, as apart from what seemed to
be in these whom we would so gladly have used,
because we needed them so much. In each case
truth was the rock upon which they foundered. If
our children were to grow up truthful they must
be taught by those who had a regard for truth;
and not just a casual regard, [rather] a
DELICATE regard. On this point we were

Do we find a similar teaching in the Word?
***Eph 4:10 He who went down is the same as he who went up--up beyond the highest Heaven, that he might fill all things with his presence. 11 And he it is who gave to the Church Apostles, Prophets, Missionaries, Pastors, and Teachers, 12 To fit his People for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the Body of the Christ. 13 And this shall continue, until we all attain to that unity which is given by faith and by a fuller knowledge of the Son of God; until we reach the ideal man--the full standard of the perfection of the Christ. 14 Then we shall no longer be like infants, tossed backward and forward, blown about by every breath of human teaching, through the trickery and the craftiness of men, towards the snares of error; 15 But HOLDING THE TRUTH IN A SPIRIT OF LOVE, we shall grow into complete union with him who is our Head--Christ himself.
Did you get that? It is by HOLDING THE TRUTH in a spirit of Love that "we shall no longer be like infants, tossed backward and forward, blown about by every breath of human teaching, through the trickery and the craftiness of men, towards the snares of error."
It is by HOLDING THE TRUTH that "we shall grow into complete union with him who is our Head--Christ himself." That makes HOLDING THE TRUTH critically essential to our life and daily living in Christ.
We all pretty know what a lie is and what deception is, but what about that which is fiction? The American Heritage Dictionary tell us that a fiction is an "imaginative creation or a pretense that does not represent actuality but has been invented"; the "act of inventing such a creation or pretense"; a "literary work whose content is produced by the imagination and is not necessarily based on fact" . . . including novels and short stories."
In Scripture there is no question as to the importance of the Truth and speaking the Truth. We find many statements that indicate that our God is Truth, we are to be a people of Truth, and we are commanded to speak the Truth. No where in the Word are told to be a people of fictions and no where in the Word are we commanded to use or speak fictions.

Some say that if there is no attempt to deceive or mislead or do harm, that if there is no deceit or trickery or harm, that it is okay to use falsehoods and fictions to teach and show the TRUTH. What such people fail to note is that the Bible makes no distinction between deceit and falsehood, that the words the Spirit uses to indicate deceit are the same words that indicate falsehoods and fictions. The motivations and purposes of a speaker of falsehoods is recognized and included, but the Spirit's use of the words
shows that all falsehoods and fictions are error and sin, whether intended to deceive
or simply to entertain or even to illustrate
things that are of the TRUTH.
The Spirit uses >>>07723 to show us that even when the fiction or falsehood is free of deceit and deception, it still is sin, falling short of His TRUTH.
Ps 12:2 They speak falsehood<07723> every one with his neighbour: with flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.
Ps 41:6 And if one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood<07723>; his heart gathereth wickedness to itself: he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
Ps 144:8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity<07723>, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood<08267>.
Isa 59:4 none calleth for justice, none pleadeth in truthfulness. They trust in vanity, and speak falsehood<7723>; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

The New Testament makes a clear distinction
between what is true and what isn't true. i.e. that which is fiction or false. We find many statements that indicate that our God is Truth, we are to be a people of Truth, and we are commanded to speak the Truth. Jesus never used a fiction to teach His Truth. All His parables were based on real people, real places and real events known to Him who knows all men of all time. No where in the Word are told to be a people of fictions and no where in the Word are we commanded to use or speak fictions. Consider Jesus' example.

We see that turning to fictions, fables, inventions and/or falsehoods involves turning away our ears from the TRUTH.

a narrative, story; a fiction, a fable; an invention, a falsehood
We see that deliberately speaking falsehoods is the
opposite of deliberately speaking the TRUTH.
***Ro 9:1 I say the TRUTH in Christ, I lie<5574> not, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,
***1Ti 2:7 to which *I* have been appointed a herald and apostle, (I speak the TRUTH, I do not lie<5574>,) a teacher of the nations in faith and TRUTH.

We see that speaking conscious and intentional falsehoods is the work of the Devil and the ungodly, which work the children of Light are told to cast away
***Joh 8:44 Ye are of the devil, as your father, and ye desire to do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks falsehood<5579>, he speaks of what is his own; for he is a liar<5583> and its father:

Dear Sister in Christ,
I know that probably even your husband, the pastor, does not agree with Amy
Carmichael in this matter, since the vast majority of Christians
don't agree with her either. Amy Carmichael, George Mueller and
Hudson Taylor were exceptional people with exceptional faith and
exceptional relationships with Jesus, so admittedly they are a hard
act to follow. When I lack the courage and conviction to follow their
lead in this matter of Truth, I determine that at least in all matters
and subjects about or involving Jesus, Abba, the Word and Christian
living I make sure to tell my children/listeners/etc. the Truth and nothing but the Truth. There is plenty of True material out there about Jesus, Abba and the Word even for small children so having and using such True material is not difficult.
With my kids as they grew I used a lot of Christian biographies and autobiographies and we found that indeed Truth is stranger and more exciting than fiction. In all other secular subjects and materials, whenever I couldn't bring myself to hold the line as to truth vs fiction, I would tell them whether or not it was true and real before and after they saw or heard it or before I read it to them. Whenever they asked me about the truth or reality of something they saw or heard or something that came up in their lives I would try to tell them the truth about the matter. As Jesus' primary witness in their lives, especially when they were young, I determined that they must know, think and feel that I would never tell them anything that was untrue, so that they would never have occasion to doubt my word, especially about Jesus, Abba and the Word. Did they lose much by not thinking that Santa, Rudolph, Easter bunny, tooth fairy etc were real when very young? Sure didn't seem to, and who needs fantasy and fiction whenyou can tell them the truth about people who raised from the dead, walked on water, survived well being in fire, survived in lions' dens, fed thousands with a few loaves and fish, caused axe heads to float, saw angels, caused national plagues, saw and talked with angels, as youths killed bears and lions with a sling, walked through the middle of a sea on dry land etc etc etc.
It was plenty exciting and much more edifying to read to my kids books like The Cross and The Switchblad, Amy Carmichael, Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret, The Death of a Guru, If I Perish, Brother Andrew ----- even if they were children's versions. My kids loved the illustrated Bible stories and listening to the true stories of Unshackled and the Pacific Garden Rescue Mission. They knew very well the difference between Truth and fiction, and knew Truth to be far superior to fiction. Heroes live and die by the Truth. The pathetic and the misled live and die by
fictions.
