Does PURLZV1.6* or V2 provide traffic log for PURL click?

No, but it is easy to create a traffic log by putting Apache in front of the PURL server. We do that for a few sites that want detailed logging.

Let me know if you would like to see an Apache configuration file as an example.

Thanks David,

I am doing an evaluation of PURL service. I still have problem to run
local PURLZV1.6.3/1.6.2 server with MySQL5.5 backend.

The SQL exception was encountered while PURL Server created the
database:
"<message>You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use
near '
type=innodb' at line 11</message>"

As MySQL 5.5 doesn't support "type" table option, instead it uses
ENGINE option, should I downgrade my database version to 5.1.8 to
support PURLZV1.6*?

Are we going to have PURLZ-V2.0 available as expected by Q3 2011? What
will be the major difference between V1.6* and V2?
I've been searching around for V2 documents with no luck.

Regards,

Landong

Hi Landong,

We are currently using the following mysql version for production PURL 1.6.3 installations:
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.77

Although the PURL v2 release has been delayed, it is best to consider PURL v1.6.3 as the current production release and match MySQL as necessary. PURL v2 work is not currently funded and so is being held in abeyance.

Regards,
Dave
