Hola,

In PerlGuts Illustrated you have some very pretty diagrams...

Could you please hint me on what you generated them with, so that I
can use it for the forthcomming PugsGuts Illustrated?

Grazie!

I used to sit next to Gisle at ActiveState.

IIRC(AIDRC), he hand-hacked postscript files for those diagrams :P

I am impressed and humbled.

I will do the same. Up to finishing the drawings. Then I will scan
them and leave it at that... Maybe someone else with more
graphics-fu can save me ;-)

After drawing them with a pen on graphing paper first to get the

coordinates right. The PostScript sources are all on CPAN too:

If you have coordinates, it shouldn't be too hard to build an SVG file,
and Sodipodi or the GIMP, or perhaps cairo, could turn that into Postscript.

Yuval,

I think that maybe hand hacking postscript (which very cool) is a
little silly given how many great graphing tools are out there.

If you scan them in and send them to me, I will lay them out and export
that to postscript/pdf/png/etc.

Alrighty then, the plan is like this:

1. I will sketch, and put my sketches in pug's repo.
2. When I'm done skething/writing, if by that time no-one has
helped me I will try all of the above in order of increasing
spookiness, till I get something that doesn't look to bad, but
didn't take too long either.

Thanks for all your advice!
