Aren't you supposed to have a pony?

Perl 5.9.1 (a.k.a. bleadperl@22510) has been released.

Quoting the PAUSE daemon, it has entered CPAN as

file: $CPAN/authors/id/R/RG/RGARCIA/perl-5.9.1.tar.gz
size: 11995887 bytes
md5: 9bb570676dccf0d02faea99df9e6480c

and will propagate to your favourite mirror in the next few hours.

This is intended as a checkpoint development release, for testing only.
Only fools would use 5.9.1 in any kind of production environment. The
usual perl59{0,1}delta documents outline was has been done since perl
5.8.0, and give a vague idea of what should be done before the shipment
of a full-fledged 5.10.0.

Everybody is welcomed to test their modules / the new features / their
favourite platforms with it, and feed p5p back with bug reports.

A more formal announcement will probably follow some day.

Enjoy,
