Perian 1.1.3 not working on MacPro

G'day.

I've installed Perian 1.1.3 on a Mac Pro (with Quad-Core Intel Xeon
processor).

While the installation process ran without a hitch (and the
Perian.component is installed in /Library/Quicktime), programs that
want the Perian component (TubeTV and MPEG stremaclip being the most
glaring examples) keep asking me to install Perian.

I'm assuming it's processor-based - will Perian need to be recompiled
with Xeon support before it will work on a Mac Pro?

I don't see how this is processor based. Why in the world would you assume that?

Huh, I didn't see there was a version of Streamclip that knew about
Perian.

Still, it doesn't know very much, this is wrong:
> To open FLV files you have to install Perian, a free codec pack, from http://www.perian.org/. But note that currently, Perian does not "obsolete" or replace other codecs so you still have to install 3ivx, DivX, XviD when required.
