Installing Perian leads to console spam

I just installed Perian and now i'm seeing a lot of error logging in
Console. Here is an example of one of the messages:

Any ideas what it means or how to fix it. I confirmed that
uninstalling Perian, deleting com.cod3r.a52codec.plist and rebooting
fixes the problem. Once i reinstall Perian it comes right back.
