Discovering this plugin on Macupdate.com I downloaded and installed it.
Finding that the Dutch translation is a bit strange.

"Belemmering Perian.component aan de Omslag Quicktime."

What the f..k does that mean? Which automated machine translated this?
Back to the drawingboard I would say.

Better use "Sleep de Perian.component in de map Quicktime" in your next
version.

Also take a look at the German translation. This is NOT the right
translation either. As I'm not fluent in German what you find below is
a much better translation. But ask a German native if this is the best
translation.

"schleppen Sie den perian.component zur Mappe quicktime"

Ya, that's my fault. We didn't know any German or Dutch folks, so
decided the best way to get around that would be to put the worst
translation ever on the image, and that people who spoke those
languages would contact us with a way better translation.

We'll fix this for our next release.

Funny thing was that I was reading the line over and over... Could not make anything of it. But I gather that the other translations like french, spanish and italian are also wrong.  :)

You have a nice day :) There are better online translators on the market.

In the future, FWIW, I know German well enough to get a rough job done,
as long as it's not too much (actually, I didn't notice that I just read
the translation for the German in this thread without thinking).
I should have thought of that for Perian. C'est la vie, hopefully I'll
remember that for other things that have only a few straightforward
strings in the future.

What's our procedure for doing localizations? Just wait for people to volunteer?

Oops, oh well.

Basically that's what has happened, and then changing it on the
image. That's seriously the only localized bit we have right now.
