Are you sure the adso dictionary has a larger database.
From what i know CEDICT now known as CC-CEDICT is an active project
which
is constantly updated and whereby users can suggest new entries (like
wikipedia).
Actually a lot of entries on current issues (China's Prime Minister
for instance) are quite up-to-date.
From what i observed, they actually release their latest database
almost on a daily basis.

So, IMHO I think Justin has make the right choice to switch over to CC-
CEDICT since it is a dictionary
which is been kept updated and expanded.
