We are pleased to announce our keynote speakers for the conference: Robert
Beschta and Bill Ripple of Oregon State University will discuss their
groundbreaking work on the ecological impacts of the loss of apex predators
in five National Parks in the American West, and the striking effects of the
return of wolves to Yellowstone National Park.
And at the banquet on Tuesday night (cost: $75), we welcome noted
photographer and conservationist Joel Sartore. Joel's award-winning nature
photographs will serve as a stunning backdrop for his stories, reflections
and inspirational message about the importance of saving predators in a
changing world.
We have a very full schedule planned for the conference: Having received
more than 300 abstracts, we will be offering four tracks of concurrent
sessions throughout the three days of the Conference. Am updated schedule of

Rounding out the conference, we have:
Field Trip (Sunday, November 15, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM)
This special tour of the Denver Zoo features the zoo's well-known carnivore
exhibits, including Predator Ridge, Bear Mountain, Wolf Pack Woods and
Northern Shores.
(cost: $40 - includes transportation, entrance fees, and lunch)
Icebreaker (Sunday, November 15, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
Enjoy a complimentary dessert reception and explore the newest exhibit of
the Wildlife Experience, one of Denver's premiere museums which focuses on
combining wildlife and conservation with interactive learning.

Ambassador Wolf Sessions (Monday and Tuesday, times vary)
Colorado's own Mission:Wolf returns to provide their special one-hour small
group sessions with live wolves. Open to first 200 conference registrants
only!

Carnivore Film Festival (Monday, November 16, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Join us Monday evening for screenings of several films showcasing the
conservation of wolves, bears and other predators. We will show The Lords of
Nature, a special sneak preview of the upcoming Nature release Clash:
Encounters of Bears and Wolves, and more!

Poster & Exhibitor Reception and Booksigning (Tuesday, November 17, 5:30 PM
to 7:00 PM)
Past attendees asked for a dedicated poster session and more time to enjoy
the exhibit hall, and we listened! Authors of carnivore-related books will
also be on hand to sell and sign their work. Light refreshments and a cash
bar will be available.
