Legalize Hemp Farming in the US petition!
So far in the 2013 legislative season Industrial Hemp Legislation has been introduced in eighteen states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia. Industrial Hemp Legislation is expected to be introduced in at least one more state as well: Michigan.
Sadly the federal government still classifies HEMP, as a schedule 1 drug, making it legal for the DEA to eradicate any crops that these states may cultivate.
If you want to see the economy, the family farm, and the environment revived, we need Americans to stand up and let the Obama Administration know that hemp is WRONGLY classified. Industrial Hemp is NOT a DRUG!
Our goal is to have at least 25,000 signatures to present to the United States House of
Representatives, the United States Senate, and President Barack Obama by the end of November 2013.
