Where to store per tab state information?

Hi,

I would like to automate logging into some web applications. The logging process takes several clicks over several separate pages. I can chain series of DOMLoad autocommands, but I would need to make the current tab to be aware that it is supposed to go through the full procedure. The DOMLoad events would do nothing unless the state information wold be there. Would you know of a handy place where to store state information for given tab? I was thinking about adding this info into <win> object, but maybe there's something more clever?
