I'm confused. On the Firefox Add-on page is says in red "Not available
for Firefox 10.0.1" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/
pencil/), but on the Pencil home page it says "Compatible with Firefox
4 to 11" (http://pencil.evolus.vn/en-US/Home.aspx).

I'm using Firefox 10.0.1 and have installed Pencil. I can't see where
to start Pencil in Firefox though. I'm new to Pencil. Am I missing
something or is it not compatible? If so, why did Firefox let me
installed it?

Hi,
It should work. To start Pencil, open Firefox and click on menu "Tools", select "Pencil Sketching..."
Fred

PS: You could also install the standalone version that work like a charm ;-)

With the new version of Firefox, the Tools menu is not shown by default. You have to enable the menu bar (keyboard shortcut: F10) to see it. Then, you can launch Pencil.

The Personal menu extension is an add-on that allows you to alter the Firefox menu. This way, you can add Tools to the Firefox menu, or better yet a shortcut directly to Pencil!
