Sir John (Jack) STEWART-CLARK, 3rd Baronet died 22 June 2026, aged 96.

He was born 17 September 1929, son of Sir Stewart STEWART-CLARK, 2nd Bt 1904-71 by his 1927 m to Jane Pamela d 1993 dau of Major Arundell CLARKE of Fremington House, Devon. He m 16 July 1958 Jonkvrouwe Lydia Frederika 1936-2025 dau of Jonkheer James Willem LOUDON 1904-73 by his 1932 m to Margarethe Katharine OSIECK 1903-79. They had 3 daughters and 1 son. 

Sir Jack's youngest daughter, Zarine Gabrielle STEWART-CLARK b 1965, is married to Richard Gerard Hamlyn NOEL b 1965 s of Gerard John Hamlyn NOEL 1930-2017 (2x gt gs of 1st EARL of GAINSBOROUGH 1781-1866), with issue. Sir Jack's only son, Alexander Dudley STEWART-CLARK (b 21 Nov 1960) succeeds him as 4th Baronet, subject to proving his claim to the title. There are no further heirs to the baronetcy. 

Sir Jack was a businessman and served as a Member of the European Parliament for Sussex East 1979-94 and East Sussex and Kent South 1994-99.

Maj (Edward John) Arundell CLARKE (1868 - 19 VI 1932) was the eldest son of Edward CLARKE (c.1822/3 - 20 IV 1895) and his wife (married 1863), Barbara Arundell YEO (c.1839/40 - 10 VI 1898). He was the husband (married 1897) of Violet Alice PRESS (1866 - ?), by whom he appears to have had at least one son, and two daughters - Jane Pamela CLARKE (1903 - 1993), the mother of the late Sir John Stewart-Clark, and Barbara Eliza CLARKE (26 IV 1900 - 14 I 1971), the wife (married 8 XI 1919) of Sir John Stuart PAGE-WOOD, 6th Bt (28 I 1898 - 2 IV 1955).
 
Maj Clarke's eldest sister, Constance Barbara CLARKE (1867 - 3 XI 1931), was married firstly, on 6 March 1905, to Adm Sir John Erskine Kennedy BAIRD, KCB (16 IX 1833 - 8 XII 1908), son of Sir David BAIRD, 2nd Bt (1795 - 8 I 1852) and his wife (married 10 VIII 1821), Lady Anne KENNEDY (26 VI 1797 - 2 XI 1877), the eldest daughter of the 1st Marquess of Ailsa. She was married secondly, on 15 December 1925, to (as his first wife) the 5th Marquess of Ailsa, who was her first husband's first cousin twice removed downwards, being a great-great-grandson of the 1st Marquess of Ailsa.
