CRAVEN
Elizabeth Gwendolyn Theresa Countess of Craven (née Jonstone-Douglas)
2nd June 1916 - 26th June 2011. Much beloved mother of Tom, Ann and
Simon, grandmother of Tom and Disna, Luke, Naomi, Simon, Zak, Carys,
Lucy, Benjamin, Laura and Sam, great-grandmother of Luke and Kallum,
died peacefully in her sleep on the night of 26th June. Any family or
friends who would like details of the Thanksgiving Service, please
contact Ann, 07795594744.
She m 1st 1954 as his 2nd wife the 6th Earl of CRAVEN (1917-65) She
was the dau of Robert Sholto JOHNSTONE-DOUGLAS (1871-1958, scion of
the Marquesses of QUEENSBERRY, descended from the 1st earl of
Queensberry) and Bettina (d 1961, dau of Harman GRISEWOOD of
Daylesford, Worcs). Sbe was mother of the 7th and 8th and grandmother
of the 9th (and present) earls. They had two sons and a dau. She m 2nd

Thanks for that, The Grisewoods had a Maltese/Italian connection, I am
very keen on any Grisewood siblings of the late Countess of Craven
mother.
