It's definitely on our radar. We're just trying to push through some changes to the app engine that will massively simplify things. We've been holding off on investing in documentation and screencasts until those are finished so we don't have to duplicate efforts.

Any approximate timelines by when the proposed changes will be out ?

I am looking at starting a new project and would love to use pedestal for it. However frankly after going through the current documentation I am at a loss on even accomplishing simple things. Thus waiting with bated breadth for the engine.

Hi Murtaza. I'm having a hard time getting going with Pedestal also. The docs make it look really promising, but I don't really get parts of it like the dataflow thing yet (where would you use each of the kinds of functions in the dataflow map? what are :models in the dataflow map?).

Anyway, in case you find it helpful, I've gotten a simple button that updates text--about the simplest app possible. I set up my app using the directions here:

and here's the only changes I made:

I found it really helpful to add those two functions that log messages (only the delta messages and whatever the other kind of message is that comes from event handlers). I haven't taken a look at the server side stuff yet--it seems like there's more documentation for that.

I'm sure this code is far from idiomatic, but maybe it will help you through some of the initial hurdles.

Pedestal devs: I'm excited to see where this thing goes--thanks for open sourcing it!
