I feel so bad that you all worked so hard to make the beautiful park a reality, and the people that didn't help are already ruining it. It makes me want to cry. Mostly because it's not a surprise. I've tried to be vigilant, and have run off some minibikers, but of course reprisals are a concern when my 5 year old and I live alone. Sara

Peace and Plenty Friends--Any suggestions as to whose child was carving?

Hi Bob,
One of my nieghbors said there was a kid with a knife throwing it at fence and also I noticed carve marks in all picnic tables and in two benches, also benches have loose legs, the two outside benches.
My nieghbor Ozzy Friedas saw the child, and told him to stop or the police would be called. The child lives in the whitmarsh apts.
Ozzy knows what he looks like.
I found a used condom when i was picking up garbage the other day.
So please check park before your kids play.

Greetings,
my name is Gina and I live in the Whitmarsh Apts. My son truly enjoys the new park and gos nearly everyday. I have spoken with him about the cravings and knife throwing, which was shared in the lastest emails. He told me that an older boy who lives in our apartments was involved. I will be speaking with him today and his mother. I really think that he is just too old to be in the park at all. It seems that most children today have no regard for others or respect for the hard work that people put in to provide nice things for them. I will be checking into the park more often - most children listen when I speak to them so I will give it a try. I have also explained to my son the he should come home right away when he observes someone doing things that are not appropriate at the park, so that I can address the issue. I told him that in doing this he is taking pride in the park....as he ought to be. I would like to extend my thanks again to all those who worked so hard to build the park.
Sincerely,
Gina

My son Duncan play's with your son Cane, I actually just spoke with Cane and Isia and They told Me That Jeramia was doing the carving, yes he is too old , he's 14 yrs old.
Cane helped Doug and I stain the fence last week, he is so nice and respectful.
Thanks for your help in this matter and if you need anything let me know.
Sincerely, Becky Burns
