ISLAMABAD, Dec 25 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated his
commitment to fight for the rights of Christians and other minorities
in the country. “Together we will struggle for establishing a liberal
and pluralistic society in Pakistan in which every citizen is allowed
to participate freely in the social, political and economic
development of the country irrespective of his cast, creed and
colour,” the President said in his message to the Christian community
on Christmas day…

Jammu, December 24: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has felicitated the
people on the eve of Christmas describing the holy day an appropriate
occasion for the mankind to remember the lesson of peace, love,
brotherhood and non-violence teached and preached by the great apostle

ISLAMABAD: Committee of Experts (COE) of SAFTA comprising senior trade
officials from all SAARC member countries will deliberate within next
two months on early completion of Trade Liberalization Programme (TLP)
by Non-Least Developed Countries i.e. Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka by
December 2010 instead of earlier cut off date of December 2012,
official sources at Ministry of Commerce informed. This would mean
bringing down maximum import tariffs by Non-Least Developed Countries
(Non-LDCs) i.e. Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India to 0 percent-5 percent
by 2010 instead of 2012, explained the official…
