ISLAMABAD: Clerics belonging to various schools of thought on Thursday
unanimously declared suicide attacks in the country un-Islamic and
forbidden in Islam. A large number of clerics who attended the Ulema
and Mashaikh Conference, organised by the Religious Affairs Ministry
at the National Library, condemned killing of innocent people in the

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday
said by adherence to the teachings of love and tolerance as preached
by Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon Him) and Jesus Christ,
the nation can confront the scourge of terrorism. Speaking at a dinner
reception as part of the interfaith Christmas celebrations organized

government on Friday said it has withdrawn two army divisions,
comprising 30,000 men, from the state but made it clear that the
operation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act there could not be

KOLKATA: Bhutan today said it was seeking closer and deeper ties with
India for its economic development. "Relation between India and Bhutan
is exemplary and West Bengal is a closer neighbour than any part of
India," Bhutan Foreign Affairs minister Ugyen Tshering told reporters
on the sidelines of the inauguration of 'Bhutan House'.Tshering said
that relations between the two countries, particularly with West
