Daily Responsibilities:
This candidate will create a software system that will automate an existing
labor intensive, manual process of uploading a complex SDK (with 28 SKUS) from
the build system to a global distribution system that enables our customer
base to access customized SDK SKU combinations.
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
This task will require experience in secure/error free network file transfers
and automating web application transactions.
It may also include proposing or using an existing API to interact with the
global distribution system.
This tool will need to be extensible, as the complexity of your SDK continues
to grow along with the variations of customer needs and the requirement to
enforce licensing terms.
Essential skills:
. FTP file transfer protocols and tools
. Reliable web automation method ( i.e . CURL etc)
. Scripting tool development on Linux/Windows platforms ( i.e. PERL, PHP, BASH
etc.)
. Creative problem solver who can work around heavily constrained systems
