Senior Front End Developer
Do you enjoy working on a variety of development projects? Are you all about building public facing, consumer-driven experiences? Like working in a creative environment?
Huge/KingCoyle is hiring a Senior Front-End Developer to join our expanding Portland team. We are a small design and innovation lab, constantly seeking to develop new interaction models and continually tasked with bringing unique experiences to consumers. We offer a wide degree of freedom and responsibility to those who enjoy working a small team environment led by creative and technology-focused individuals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for architecting and implementing JavaScript solutions and leading small teams of developers on projects. We work in a design-driven, agile environment focusing on building digital experiences in a variety of technologies, from touchscreen environments and mobile applications to helping implement and architect new design interactions. Our processes are iterative, and we do everything from prototype experiments to full production enterprise deployment.
What We’ve Gotta Have:
- Strong JavaScript skills, including experience with defacto standard libraries (i.e., jQuery, Angular.js, etc.).
- Experience with Ruby or Python or other dynamic languages.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience with version control (Git, Mercurial,etc.).
- Comfortable interacting with clients and collaborating with design teams.
What Would Be Nice:
- Experience leading small teams.
- Exposure to C, iOS or Objective C.
- Not afraid of server-side integration.
- Familiar (and comfortable) with agile methodologies like Scrum.
- Active contributor to the Open Source community.
