The next JavaScript meeting will be tomorrow on Wednesday, April 24th from 7-9pm at Janrain.  http://calagator.org/events/1250463832

This is a new venue!  If you go to AppFog you will be disappointed.  And then you will have to cross the street, because that is where Janrain is.

At this meeting I will give my initial impressions of Ember.js, the client-side application framework.  It is likely that we will also have time for some group discussion.  If you have questions or have seen something interesting please come and bring it up for a chance to find out what others think.

By the way, have you heard about asm.js?  It opens up some interesting possibilities:

Cheers,
Jesse

I was really impressed with the performance achieved by Duetto, modeling JavaScript operations at a higher level than Emscripten. I was especially surprised to see that property access on JS objects compares favorably against offset-based access into JavaScript arrays.

The march toward JavaScript as the web's assembly language continues.
