I just wanted to let you all know I started cleaning up a space for DIYBio.
I moved most of everything from the rear bench work/storage area over to
the table between the bookshelf and couch. I ran out of room, so started
having to move a few things to a corner on the floor, as well as put a few
items by the server rack.
After not having any idea where to put anything or how to clean up the
space I was wondering what people thought about some kind of basic
inventory management system. Why don't we decide areas where various items
should be housed, then take some tape and label each item where it should
go. We could really clean up the space and have a lot more room. I was also
wondering what you all thought about designated areas for specific
activities. For example why not designate one area for machining, one for
electrical work, etc.
So, anyone up for meeting and discussing ideas for getting and keeping
things more organized? Anyone up for getting together and completely
cleaning everything up one weekend?
Also as I was making room in the back I found a nice backgammon set if
anyone ever wants to play, let me know!
