Subject: [dorkbotpdx-blabber] Gray-Hat Hackers?

Are any of you Defcon-attendee-types, or have an interest in putting
together a gray-hat presentation for lawyers? I've been asked to speak
to a lunch meeting of Computer and Internet Law lawyers, and I'd like to
do a "Think Like A Criminal" presentation, where I describe a few recent
hacks and talk about the unexpected ways people manage to get access to
information they're not supposed to have. (I know it's mostly social
engineering, but I want to talk about things like WiFi security, PDF and
MSWord password "protection," and so on.
Some people in the audience will be a little technical, but mostly, I
want to get across the idea that the people you have to worry about, are
creative and flexible -- if they can't guess your MSWord password, but
they need access to your document, they're not going to give up; they're
just going to try some other way that you might not have considered.
One of the things I'd like to do is set up a couple of WiFi hotspots at
the venue, run something like Firesheep, and at the end, show what I was
able to collect while they were busy eating lunch and listening to me.
If I could crack some WiFi passwords in 30-45 minutes, that would be
great too.
Anybody interested in this sort of thing, and willing to help out or
consult?
Thanks!
