After having phoned my parents for *beings abusive*, I spent four
nights *incommunicado* in the Washington County Jail *for a crime
committed in another county, Multnomah, which 'ostensibly' cared not
at all as they "know this" 'carcase' and did not pull it in*; whenever
I asked to phone my friend or even *fam* to inquire discreetly as
regards my "rights" /non-alienable/, I was informed I was "not nice"
enough to us-a the phone or even have $5 like a *right* Washington
County 'tard "on the make" of a 'pleasant-enow' Hillsboro street scene
(from '86 to, well, *whenever*.)
Then taken to the... wait for it, wait for it, *glad to have waited
for it* Inverness Jail and further sammiches, and on to the *Centro de
Justicia* and not-the-"sufferin' succotash"-this-time (hmm?), where
they also kept me *incommunicado* ['Get outa heah!', saith "the
judge", who *himself* knew where I had been and *puissance* powered a
letter to 'Pedodaddy' not friend *mit-Recht*] and stole my *Jackett*
with plastic fantastic *poqueta*; I now /dress/ like Dick Thornburgh,
guess *what's next* -- [*not a lot* from me, and something for you;
provided it is remembered I-Jeffrey-Rubard have my full complement of
Constitutional rights any-how, and I *know* my name is "Jeffrey Daniel
Rubard" and other i-tems perchance].
Orthodox Marxism having been represented, on to --
A brief 'kvetch', in the wrong *contexte*: the court documents and
associated brace'lets spelled my name wrong, as "Jeffery".
Additionally, after I started writing my "author-function" out
"Jeffrey Daniel Rubard" and pondering the consequences, Qwest had
*operators* come on to tell me how the inconvenience of *three* names
could be replaced by the convenience of *two* names.
But *lest we forget*, though Oregonians be sharp-like with respect to
matters legal, Federal policy (conducted in a questionable manner *not
to be questioned*, often) exerts a *reciprocal* effect on the public
discourse of our state; if We Think We Have The Right Idea, but some
"eminent domain" of the United States Government requires that our
minds be *otherwise employed* for a sec'onde, then heads might be
"tetched" rather than *aching* and things seem okay, except not really
be so; however -- the *membra disjecta* of ordinary material life,
incl. people, provides *as well as it does*, as it usually does, and
we see yet again what we "know and don't know" concerning matters we
were not really asked to opine about, or *not* opine about, as the
case might be. Your life is where it usually is, *here now*, and your
rights where they usually reside, in the social compact of the United
States Constitution *entire* and in the "effective purchase" one has
in civil society (I would go so far as to speculate they are "mutually
reinforcing" in the sense of one being incarnated in the other, and
vice versa, but *that's me*.) See what you think, as *you usually do*.

Finally, if - *presto* - the young people need you to teach them what
they don't know how, consider what *I* didn't quite get: the
incantation "U.S.A., U.S.A." a la the fans of the "Miracle on Ice", an
*aping* of Dos Passos' trajectory from firmest of Liberal Clubbers to
"liberal of firmness" in the *National Review* style, *always patently
had* the 'signification' -- "Only in America, and never again."
CAPITALISM!
