This position is responsible for the development and implementation of
marketing plans specific to individual strategic manufacturer's within a
product category that increase sales of the manufacturer's products,
increase visibility of our Client's market share within the product
category, and meet or exceed assigned recovery goals. Display expertise in
all aspects of sales, marketing and asset management. Display a detailed
level of technical proficiency in purchasing product, managing inventory,
MAS integrity and financial accuracy. Design and implement quality,
continuous improvement processes. Display an advanced
understanding of the business through accurate business reporting. Enhance
your rapport with vendors, sales force, and team members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Program Development

a.. Aggressively develop and present marketing proposals to manufacturers,
consistent with the manufacturer's strategy and our Client's direction.
b.. Consistently create and execute effective product promotions,
consistent with the "Perfect Promotions" standards.
c.. Use marketing vehicles to facilitate sales and inventory management
objectives, including revenue and market share growth, total addressable
market, solution value proposition, rebate attainment, reducing excess and
inactive inventory.


Management of Vendor Rebates

a.. Work with management to negotiate with manufacturer rebate levels or
buy-in amounts.
b.. Work with management to set sales parameters (marketing plans) in
place to drive business to ensure achieving sales out for rebate dollars.
c.. Manage daily activities, which will result in the accomplishment of
rebate sales out goals.
d.. Track and communicate SWOTs analysis to appropriate stakeholders.
e.. Work through appropriate vehicles to communicate to sales/RM's
successes and shortfalls for meeting agreed upon sales out numbers.


Manufacture/Product Launch Leader

Drive launch plan with manufacturer's, create detailed introduction plan
that includes:

· Roles and Responsibilities of applicable stakeholders

§ Cross agreements and issues with manufacturer

§ Combine product messaging and Company's messaging to
create the over all value added solution that the vendor is looking for our
client to deliver and "take to market" in their channel

§ Overall launch objectives

§ Product positioning, Company and manufacturer value
proposition and messaging

§ Competitive analysis for both our Company and
manufacturer; pricing, products, services.

§ Account Tactics

§ Training (Sales, Marketing, Engineering)

§ Demo/Eval Plan

§ Promotions

§ Channel Partner participation

Creation & Implementation of Outbound Marketing Activities

Content development for creative order generating promotions, literature and
incentive programs (not limited to):

§ Management of assigned product page web content.

§ Accountable for timely coordination of marketing plan
activities in regards to publishing of web content, training, communication
and coordination of activities.

§ Act as a conduit between manufacturer and Company to
communicate ALL applicable information.

§ Implement/communicate manufacturing driven marketing
programs.

§ Ensure integration of messaging between Company and
vendor for any collateral communications working with corporate marketing to
ensure consistency.

Training

Responsible for internal product training with manufacturer while
adhering to agreed upon training strategy for all appropriate areas:
Sales, Marketing and Engineering.

§ Ability to conduct sales training on supported
products.

§ Responsible for:

§ Working with Marcom to coordinate training schedule

§ Working with manufacturer to tailor presentation materials to
Company standards

§ Preparedness for training: prerequisites are defined prior to
execution of training

§ Training is Quality, Productive, Informative, Successful:

· Tests given

· Metrics in place

· Feedback requested/received

Product Line Visibility & Growth

a.. Produce, update, and maintain standardized reports that will assist in
managing product lines to the full potential.
b.. Manage Product lifecycle (not limited to):
c.. Upfront costing, pricing and inventory levels
d.. Owner of product mix, margin percentages, overall product lifecycle
e.. Lead in working with Product Manager to manage system pricing, stock
levels, ongoing pricing, costing.
f.. Manage issues as they arise.
g.. Drive lead generation program for specific manufacturers with
telemarketers
h.. Accountable for Gold Mine customer data.
i.. Accountable for leads granted by manufacturer
j.. Accountable for data-mining projects
k.. Solid understanding of assigned market areas and industry direction
l.. Participate in assigned category driven trade-rags, seminars, opt in
e-mails, web notification, magazines, research articles, purchased market
analysis, market share, etc.
m.. Solid understanding of competitors in the channel for assigned
manufacturers (manufacturers, distributors, resellers, end-users).
Marketing Fund Management & Profitability

Consistently meets or exceeds assigned goals for marketing recovery, focus
programs and promotions. Accountable for ensuring contracts and proposals
comply with Company and manufacturer standards and funding use guidelines,
and paperwork is complete and accurate.

§ Reviews recovery, billing and collections reports on a weekly
basis.

§ Review marketing and program aging report with manufacturer to
keep marketing receivable within acceptable standards.

§ Work with buyer to achieve greatest total profitability.

§ Drive decisions, working with Director of Marketing, on how to:

· Spend marketing funds

· Manage Co-op dollars to maximize ROI

· Manage your business in order to achieve maximum
possible MDF consideration from each Manufacturer

· Provide collateral for all Manufacturer driven
activities

· Track, manage and communicate marketing budget
dollars - work with Marcom to consolidate within overall Company marketing
budget/plan.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Critical Skills

a.. Solid communication and relationship (rapport building and
relationship management) with sales, customers and management.
b.. Solid management of engaging our Client in utilizing past experience
and skills to proactively enhance potential opportunities.
c.. Solid product management experience with computer software company.
EDUCATION
a.. Requires a Bachelors degree.
