I'm not sure what changed but now update-notifier immediately brings
up a dialog box on boot or reboot asking to set up my connection even
though I connect just fine.

I think the problem is that normally I have update manager set to
manual. Apparently adding the time delay function is the issue. I can
just remove it from the panel.

simple save a given time... between 10 seconds, and 60 seconds. Much simpler can't it be...

How ever you changed something with Update-Notifier-Settings, be sure you have all filled out if you need. Click on save overwrite your current settings. ;) -- leiche <meisss...@gmail.com>
