I have done certain setting with gui and after restart my system it
show cli (command line interface). It asks for username and password
in black and white console. I don;t want that.. Can you tell me any
command through which I can rollback my system without affecting my
files.. though I know root password as well as client password.

When installing from the dvd iso. the installation keeps loading the
command screen then require local host login, and password?

I have tried hard disk install, and live install each gives the same result
no GUI screen on install appears. Why is this happening? Any help welcome..

I had same problem; had to do manual partitioning for swap, \, and \home.
This is a stupid bug and i hope someone patches it soon.

Hi! Trying to install PCLinux (Full Monty) on VMware workstation 8.0.
Problem is I made a 30GB partition for the OS and PClinux shows I made a

I installed PCLinuxOS and I try to connect to internet using a analog
telephone modem. The system identifies the modem's brand correctly as
Motorola Fax Modem 56K,when the modem initializes the communication it

Hello Dennis, my name is also Dennis; good name! Just got a chance to post
back, sorry it took so long. You don't say where you downloaded this from
or how you downloaded. It is possible to copy the boot files into the
folder, but I would suggest that you go to this pclos address
([link]), scroll to the bottom of the page

I found the f keys helped, the screen resolution I set it to its highest
and I set it to safe on the other it seemed to load then hope this helps

some reason it will not run as a live cd is this connected
