UNAIDS PCB NGO Delegation Briefing on upcoming UNAIDS board meeting
Dear friends and colleagues,
The upcoming UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board (PCB) meeting is taking place from 13-15 December in Geneva. As we prepare for the meeting, the PCB NGO Delegation would like to convene a call with those of you in wider civil society to brief you on the main agenda items and to receive your feedback to inform our strategy for the meeting.
The board meeting will include the following agenda items:
· The 2011 NGO Delegation Report on legal environments and HIV responses
· Follow-up to the 2011 UN General Assembly High Level Meeting on AIDS
· Progress report on the Global Plan Towards the Elimination of New HIV Infections Among Children by 2015 and Keeping their Mothers Alive
· UNAIDS 2012-2015 Unified Budget, Results and Accountability Framework revised matrix
· Second Independent Evaluation of UNAIDS
· UNAIDS Technical Support
· Thematic segment: “HIV and Enabling Legal Environments”

Ahead of the call, we invite you to visit our NGO Report site where you can download the full report and navigate through key findings and information in seven languages. This report offers several recommendations to UNAIDS and Member States with regards to HIV strategies and related laws and policies. The report and its proposed decision points will be presented at the 29th UNAIDS PCB in December
The call will take place on Monday 5 December 2011 at 4pm CET/Geneva (you can find out your local time by using this page and choosing your country). Please try to come on the call five minutes earlier so the call can start at 4pm.
